In 1926 the trademark "The Tudor" was registered by the company "Veuve de Philippe Hüther" on behalf of Rolex' founder Hans Wildorf. In 1936 Hans Wildorf adopted the brand and on March 6th 1946 the trademark "Montres Tudor SA" was established in Geneve. The model Tudor Oyster was brought on market in 1947, followed by the Oyster Prince Collection in 1952. With its new collection "Grantour", Tudor attended introduction into Automobile Racing Sports alongside Porsche Motorsport. Since the 2009 season, the watchbrand actively supports the international Porsche Supercup - an event taking place worldwide as part of the Formula 1 races - as its Timing Partner.
