The renowned company Cartier looks back on 150 years of tradition. It was founded in Paris by Louis-Francois Cartier, a jeweller who first dealt with antique pocket watches but quickly became a “first address” of France’s Napoleon III. The houses’ luxurious watches and high quality jewellery even fascinated crowned heads. The founder’s grandson Louis Cartier was quick to recognise the signs of the times and focused on wristwatches already before the First World War. That way, Santos, Panthere and Tank established next to other fist class design icons. Other models are: Ballon Bleu, Pasha and Dumont.
