The luxury watch manufacturer Chopard has created a masterpiece of watchmaking art with the L.U.C.. The versatile models in the range offer a broad spectrum for every taste. From a classic two-hand watch to the L.U.C All-in-One with a total of 14 complications, everything is available on the market. There is a reason for the effort, as the L.U.C was dedicated to the company founder Louis-Ulysse Chopard.
Design of the Chopard L.U.C
The flat design of this visually appealing luxury watch is striking, with the L.U.C XP and L.U.C XPS measuring just 7.2 mm in height. These two models are perfect as dress watches, as they impress with their understated elegance. Of course, there are also larger versions of the L.U.C, which are very popular with enthusiasts.
A great deal of effort was invested in the design of the dial. Basically, they epitomise the perfect art of watchmaking from Switzerland, because only very few luxury watches can boast attributes such as galvanic silver plating, a fine satin finish, sunburst decoration or porcelain. The Chopard L.U.C has an interesting range of case materials, including rose and white gold, stainless steel and platinum. In combination with a colourful dial and a matching bracelet, this creates a perfect overall impression.
The watches in the Chopard L.U.C range meet the highest standards, as they are all made in the Chopard ateliers in Geneva and Fleurier.
L.U.C Time Traveler One & L.U.C GMT One
Two extraordinary watches from the collection are the L.U.C Time Traveler One and the L.U.C GMT One. The L.U.C Time Traveler One is a world time watch with a 24-hour ring that can display a total of 24 different time zones. The two crowns can be used to precisely set the corresponding time zones. Visually, this watch impresses with a clear white dial or a brown dial that embodies a certain elegance.
The L.U.C. GMT One, which can display a second time zone, is a little clearer.
Chopard L.U.C with moon phase and perpetual calendar
What should not be missing from such an important luxury watch are special complications. These certainly include the moon phase or the perpetual calendar. Both can be found in the L.U.C Lunar One, for example. The month and leap year are displayed on a separate sub-dial at 3 o'clock, while the day of the week and day/night display can be found on a sub-dial at 9 o'clock. At 6 o'clock, the moon phase has been placed together with a totaliser. The overall picture is rounded off by a large date at 12 o'clock. Overall, the dial appears tidier than the list suggests.
If all this is not enough, the L.U.C Perpetual Chrono also has a chronograph function.
Grand Complications - L.U.C All-in-One with 14 complications
If Chopard wanted to demonstrate the full extent of its watchmaking expertise in a very impressive way, then the L.U.C All-in-One with a total of 14 complications is the perfect proof of this. The All-in-One has been limited to ten models each in platinum and ten in rose gold, which means that the value is also reflected in the price. The cost point here is between EUR 360,000 and 420,000.
Price of a Chopard L.U.C
Like almost no other luxury watch, the Chopard L.U.C has a very wide price range. The supposedly ‘simple’ models in the range can be purchased for as little as 3,000 euros. Many watches can be found in the price range between 10,000 and 20,000 euros, because a limited edition or special complications contribute to the price increase. Ultimately, your own preferences with the Chopard L.U.C will decide where the purchase price will be.
