The Breitling Transocean is a very classic luxury watch whose history in 1958 was all about transatlantic flights. In the first half of the 20th century, pilot's watches were more than just a trend. In 2010, the Breitling Transocean made a comeback and was more versatile than ever before. The Transocean Chronograph Unitime, for example, combines a chronograph and a world time function that can display all 24 time zones simultaneously. The Breitling Transocean Chronograph 1461 scores with a four-year calendar that has to be corrected every 1,461 days. A moon phase display is also included and the watch is also available in rose gold. One limited edition watch in the series is the Transocean Chronograph 1915, which was released to mark the brand's 100th anniversary. It is limited to 1915 and therefore automatically promises an increase in value.
Before making a purchase, the question arises as to which Breitling Transocean watches arouse interest. The vintage editions from the 50s and 60s can increase in value, but may be available in pre-owned condition for less than €1,000. In any case, a comparison should be made or an expert consulted.
Many Breitling Transocean watches are sold in the price range between €3,000 and €7,000.
