While the Breitling Chronomat is very well known and appreciated by collectors and watch enthusiasts alike, the Breitling Chrono Cockpit leads a somewhat shadowy existence. Produced in the 1990s and 2000s, the 39 mm luxury watch was a style icon that was worn by men and women alike. Another advantage of the pilot's chronograph - it is available at relatively good prices, but now has an interesting increase in value.
The Breitling Cockpit combines classic Breitling elements with stylistic elements of the Chronomat. The relatively narrow 39 mm case means that the watch is not quite as imposing, but thanks to its variety of models, it is regularly enhanced with loving details such as a stone setting on the bezel or on the dial.
The equestrian bezel, the onion crown and the chronograph hand with the Breitling logo are Breitling classics that can also be found on other luxury watches from the brand. A wide range of colours creates a sporty and elegant overall impression on the wearer.
The case size allowed Breitling to bring the Cockpit onto the market for both men and women. Especially with a stone setting, these watches were very popular with women without appearing too pompous. Stylish elegance that can be perfectly combined with appropriate clothing.
Women were spoilt for choice when it came to the bracelet. While the men were happy to opt for the stainless steel version with fine links, the ladies were more enchanted by the leather bracelets.
